Stephen, also known as Teevio, is a Full-Stack Product Engineer that has been working with startups for over 20 years. In the not-so-distant past he led Simplecast as CTO (acq. by SiriusXM) and Virb (acq. by GoDaddy). He has also worked with everyone from Creative Market (acq. by Autodesk), Nasty Gal, Dictionary.com and PureVolume Inc.

As a full-stack product engineer and CTO, Teevio has the unique ability to bridge the awkward gap between the worlds of Product and Engineering. He is not only capable of taking a startup from idea to development to acquisition, he also has the natural leadership ability to guide and motivate a team to partner with him in the process.

Teevio's programming skills are diverse. Historically, he has worked in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Node.js, PHP, Elixir, Python, Solidity, and the various tools and frameworks associated with those languages. Having 20+ years in the industry, he is also capable of learning whatever is put in front of him. Despite having preferences around how to build, Teevio usually takes an “any stack” approach, where the languages and tools are selected to fit the expected outcomes rather than the other way around.

He is looking to work with early-stage startups where he has the opportunity to help shape, guide and build the products they are creating. Teevio is currently open for freelance work and (while this is not an exhaustive list) he would love to help with: product vision, execution strategy, R&I, cost analysis, scaling, architecture, acquisition preparation/transition, and even building an MVP from scratch.

Teevio currently lives in the great and grandiose city of Albany, NY [sarcasm intended] with his wife, 4 children and Bernese Mountain Dog. Aside from programming, he enjoys long runs through the woods, adventuring, reading, taking photos, and hanging out with his family.
